National Infant Immunization and World Immunization Weeks Are Here!

This week we are celebrating the protection that we provide for our children and our communities against specific diseases through complete and timely immunizations. This safeguard for our community is a shared responsibility. Here at Gallatin City-County Health Department we take this responsibility very seriously. We are proud, not only to offer immunization services within our county, but also to be able to say we are immunized ourselves. This demonstrates our commitment personally and professionally to help prevent the transmission of vaccine-preventable diseases like measles, mumps, rubella, diphtheria, pertussis, and flu.

Parents in our community also recognize the importance of vaccination. They value the peace of mind that comes along with protecting their children, and thereby their community. This week we want to make sure that your contribution as a parent does not go unnoticed. We want to thank you, parents, for helping us protect our community through childhood immunizations. As a parent, you should also be proud of your investment in the health of your family and community. Your decision to vaccinate not only helps protect your individual children, but also the rest of your family, neighbors, friends, and even strangers in public spaces.

Happy Infant Immunization Week. If you have any specific questions or comments, feel free to email our immunization nurse at
