There are a number of resources within Gallatin County that are designed to help families and individuals put healthy meals on the table, including:


Food assistance, nutrition education, and breastfeeding support for Gallatin and Madison Counties. WIC families can be moms, dads, foster parents, grandparents, and guardians. WIC is for pregnant, breastfeeding, and postpartum women, families, and children up to age 5 who meet certain income limits.

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)

A program through the State of Montana that provides supplemental food and nutrition assistance to those who meet certain income limits. SNAP recipients use EBT cards, which are similar to debit cards, to purchase food in authorized retail stores. For more information, go to

Gallatin Valley Food Bank

Helping Gallatin Valley residents in need of emergency food assistance by providing a 5-day food box to help fill your shelves with pantry staples and your refrigerator with meats, dairy, and fresh produce. All Gallatin Valley residents are eligible for food bank services, and services can be used once every 30 days.

Emergency Food Assistance, providing a 3 to 5-day food supply, along with holiday food assistance (Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday food items).
